And the award goes to….

On December 2nd, 2017 I was so humbled to receive the 2017 Patient Care Award by the Ontario Chiropractic Association.  To be awarded by my patients was, to date, the highlight of my career. I am so blessed to do what I love, awards like this, are just the icing on the cake 🙂

CBC Celebrates HERStory

CBC Celebrates HERStory

On a cold day in early January I attended a photo shoot with an amazing group of black women. At the time I wasn’t quite sure what was going on, but the beauty, the community and the fun, made getting dressed up on a  sunday morning, worthwhile. It was after the photo shoot, that I realized what our host, the talented Ms. Emily Mills, was aiming for. She wanted to bring together 150 black women for a massive photo shoot in Toronto that not only captured the women but their “range of professions, life experiences and perspectives.” Who knew that HERSstory would turn into a national celebration that showcased 150 fabulous black women doing amazing things in this city. How lucky was I to be a part of it all.

I have had a lot of success in my career but being a pat of this event and this movement has certainly been a highlight.

As Emily Mills described “I really hope that I’m helping to make HERstory by showing the city and this country a different face of leadership.”Screen Shot 2017-03-06 at 10.26.45 PM
